The Legend of an Automotive Family

The auto industry has been defined by families and legends. The Choquette family legend began when grandfather Bernie Choquette opened one of New England's first garages. He worked one of New England's first garages. He worked from hands-on experience, solving problems with intuition and practical know-how.

In time, the family grew. Bernie had eight children, three boys and five girls. Bernie taught his sons the ins-and-outs of the repair business, and when they left the nest, they applied their mechanic's knowledge.

In the early 70's his sons and good friend James Martone joined in a new venture. They began selling Motor manuals to shop owners on Cape Cod. Within no time they were selling all over New England.

In 1978, Bernie's son Alex consolidated the businesses and started C.A.M.S.. Under his guidance, the business expanded quickly selling manuals and helping garages with computer systems.

Knowing that the industry would be forever changing, Alex felt that if C.A.M.S. hired experts from different automotive markets. He could offer his customers the best support and knowledge they would need now and for years to come.

Alex decided to combine his forces with Jim Martone and hire four of his cousins, Bobbi, Frankie, Vinnie and Toni. Each cousin is a leader in their field. Together, they have turned C.A.M.S. into the Automotive Information Super Store.
